Incredible Facebook Marketing
While looking through Mashable I found this incredible article on how IKEA used the photo tagging feature in Facebook to generate ALOT of buzz around their new store opening. They uploaded a ton of pictures of fully furnished rooms and houses with all ikea furniture inside. Then they ran a “contest” where the first person to tag their name on any item in the room, got to take that item home for free!
Needless to say the response was overwhelming and worked very well.
Just another example of how thinking outside the box can yield some very cost effective but POWERFUL results!
